Applied Kinesiology is the science of manual muscle testing to ascertain and correct energy imbalance in the body. The brain and spine monitor everything that is happening in the body at all times. Indeed, to some extent, through holographic principles, every cell may know much of what is happening moment by moment in the body. One well-known biofeedback system is the monitoring of skin cell electrical conductivity changes. This forms the basis of both biofeedback stress devices and lie detectors. Everyone knows that in the latter, when a person lies, the brain sends a different signal to the body. Here, the skin cell's electrical conductivity is altered and the meter demonstrates this as it plots the response. But electrical conductivity changes will also slightly change the strength of a muscle response when tested by an expert. So manual muscle testing can be used to literally gauge the status of anything that is happening in the body. One only needs to learn how to "ask" with Applied Kinesiology.

For our purposes here, we will examine some basic matters that can be employed for brain-injured children. For the child that cannot directly respond or resist a manual muscle challenge, the use of a "surrogate" will be employed. The surrogate's arm will be muscle tested while s/he touches the brain-injured children. This is similar to a biofeedback demonstration whereby stress is transfered when a subject holds hands with a "surrogate" who is connected to a biofeedback machine. The subject when stressed passes a negative impulse to the surrogate who then passes it to the device which sounds an alarm. Subtle electrical energy is easily transfered via skin contact.

The applied kinesiologist uses the term, "Neurological Disorganization" to denote the state of suboptimal functioning (as determined by Applied Kinesiology) of the acupuncture meridian system and the nervous system and the interplay between them. Also ascertainable are the states of several other energy systems in the body including the Chapman neurolymphatic reflex system and the Bennett Neurovascular system. The two names denote the osteopathic physicians who found these energy systems earlier this century. These two energy systems relate to the flow of lymph and blood, and they interact with the human nervous and acupuncture systems. Use of such energy testing and balancing is virtually devoid of side effects yet may have immense healing potential and should be utilized as soon as possible for the brain-injured children.

At my first session with Brian which was just a few weeks after his injury, I employed several Applied Kinesiology techniques--some of my own invention--and was able to temporarily halt the display of the Babinski sign. The Babinski sign is an abnormal curling of the toes when a pencil or similar instrument is run up the sole of the foot from the heel towards the toes. It is normal in infants, then is "outgrown. Displaying of the Babinski sign past infancy indicates brain damage or injury. It is found in people with Multiple Sclerosis and in people with brain injury. Some of the Applied Kinesiology techniques I employed (and which will shortly be described) were gait reflexes, hand gait reflexes, Rochlitz Heart-Integration Exercises and Rochlitz Brain Integration Exercises. I first saw in 1985 how easily and remarkably (and rapidly) I could stop the Babinski reflex in Multiple Sclerosis sufferers with the use of the Rochlitz Heart-Integration Exercises which I created that year.

The foot and hand gait reflex corrections refer to points on the feet and hands respectively that are rubbed to normalize acupuncture and nerve energy flow in these regions and through feedback, the brain itself. The Brain and Heart-Integration Exercises cited above balance or integrate the left and right hemispheres of the brain and heart respectively. They can be very powerful in assisting healing and in accelerating healing and in the optimization of the brain and nervous system. Rochlitz Heart-Integration Exercises can also optimize blood flow. These kinesiology techniques are amply described and illustrated in my books, two of which are readily available and contain kinesiology as well as nutritional descriptions for optimal health. These two books are: Allergies and Candida: with the Physicist's Rapid Solution, 3rd Ed. and Why Do Music Conductors Live Into Their 90's?: The Simple Revolutionary Discovery That Can Make You Live Longer, Increase Your Stamina, & Stretch, And Normalize Your Blood Pressure In Minutes. The latter book is named after my Heart-Integration Exercises--not the music--that this author found gives maestros longevity and vitality.

These kinesiology breakthrough techniques should be learned and used on brain-injured children everyday. Several people may be needed to simultaneously perform my Integration Exercises. They are variants of "cross-crawl" movements but go way beyond anything else available in this field. Indeed this author has created exercises to energize most of the major organs with different, simple and unique exercises. But, remember, the Applied Kinesiologist utilizes many other techniques through the meridian, neurolymphatic and neurovascular systems that can energize and optimize most organs--especially the brain--in a harmless way.

These Applied Kinesiology techniques can be very beneficial in aiding survival after the trauma to the brain. They may aid the child in coming out of a coma. And they may speed-up healing, normalization and the re-learning phase. They are not a substitute for medical intervention at any time especially in the acute early stage after the trauma to the brain. We advise parents, family, friends and therapists and practitioners to learn and utilize our Applied Kinesiology breakthroughs which are ultimately simple and virtually devoid of side-effects. The Applied Kinesiology breakthroughs also can go hand-in-hand with ascertaining optimal nutritional factors. They have immense potential to aid in the healing of brain-injured children.
