How to make yourself heard.

It’s not uncommon to feel like no one really hears you unless you’re yelling and screaming, and even then, they call you crazy. Right?

Speaking your mind instinctually, fearlessly and authentically, while experiencing receptivity from others is an art.

Somewhere in my teens, I had a girlfriend who could really sing, and I not so much. But, I wanted to, and whenever I would try to join in, I always got this put off look from that friend, and it was clear that I needed to ‘shut it.’ I wasn’t going to mess up her beautiful melody. I didn’t think I sounded that bad, but the experience left me deeply ashamed of my voice.

Looking back, that wasn’t the first time I was told to ‘shut it.’ In my early childhood, I was routinely told that my opinion, my voice didn’t matter, and that I was in fact wrong and bad. So, for a very long time I stopped talking, humming, and singing. I lost my connection with my voice, and my inner child all simultaneously.

Finding one’s voice is not just about being able to sing well, or speak “well,” it has everything to do with connecting to your inner most feelings and expressing them for yourself or to others. Expression is not merely a side dish, reserved for the truly talented. it is critical to our survival on the planet.

In order to communicate well with others and nature, we have to first realize we are nature and communicate with ourselves. Naturally, we then develop a relative understanding of our needs, nature’s needs and the needs of others. Devoid of real connection, communication can become forceful, aggressive or conversely powerless.

When I teach people how to develop their intuition, I am giving them the keys to discernment between all different types of energies so they can live more abundantly. But, even someone who has an impressive ability to perceive, and even transmute energy needs to use their voice, not only to pass messages to others, but so that they can communicate their intuitive needs, direction and healthy boundaries. Good expression is not a luxury, it is critical to your survival on the planet.

Your voice is a powerful healing instrument!

The speed of sound and the speed of light are different. You will always see lightening before you hear the thunder. Sound and light are both forms of energy that travel in waves. They both have properties of wavelength, frequency, and amplitude. Sound, however, can only travel through a medium (substance), like you, while light can travel through empty space. So, while we might receive the light from source through an energy line connecting all our chakras. Our voice, our sound, is produced by the vibration produced when the light fills our cells, and we just have to let our voice out.

Light consists of electromagnetic waves. Different colors of light have electromagnetic waves that vibrate at different frequencies. Light creates vibration and sound is the result of vibration. Do you follow?

We now know that sound can become light, and vice versa. Our voice can, in fact, deliver more light to the world!

So, what literally makes the sound of your voice?

The vocal folds produce sound when they come together and then vibrate as air passes through them during exhalation of air from the lungs. This exhalation produces the sound wave of your voice. A deep and profound release of tension happens through exhalation in the process of meditation or conversely as we go through our day.

So, when you connect to the light and practice breathing, you can find your voice.

Your voice is so important.
